Kamikaze Finally Wins

Chai Chee CSC vs Kamikaze (League)

5 Feb 2012

St Wilfrid @ 1pm

Kamikaze looked to end the barren run of 3 league draws against Chai Chee CSC, a team that had earlier stolen a point away from them in the first game of the season. Kamikaze had drawn 4 times already during this season, a worrying statistic that caused some concern for Team Manager Seelan. Upon close introspection, the manager identified the team's inability to dictate play as one of the key reasons for not closing off games. Hence, special tactics were drawn out for this game to ensure play began from the backline with proper possession and a calm unrushed manner in which attacks were created. At first, it looked like the tactics were gonna backfire with Chai Chee parking the bus infront of goal, but the calm manner in which KKZ approached the game justified the tactical changes as they ran out 4-0 winners thanks to a well-taken brace from young striker Vishnu in between goals from a trademark Gerard penalty and brilliant Pratheep volley at the end. With the long overdue win, KKZ looks set to turn the momentum on to put pressure on the league leaders.
