Express Updating Yet Again

Express Updating. Sorry for the trouble. But the editor is back, and this time he is back for good.. (till he goes missing again)

Kamikaze vs Revamp (League)

6 Nov 2011
Bowen Secondary School @ 5pm

A routine match for the Kamikaze warriors saw them pick up all 3 points in class by banging 7 goals past Revamp. Revamp showed great spunk and character by scoring 2, but Kamikaze proved too strong for this young team.

Final Score: KKZ 7 - 2 Revamp

Goals: Vicky Havey-Drogba, El Fazail Pistolero, Vishnu Giri Torres (2), Vijay Hernandez, El Fazail Pistolero, Millionaire Premnathan

Kamikaze vs Height Rovers (League)

13 Nov 2011
Mayflower Secondary @3pm

In the clash of the two titans of the Eastern Division, the spoils were shared by the team as the edgy encounter ended 1-1. Height rovers struck first blood as they took advantage of a defensive lapse to score the opener, but Kamikaze's never say die attitude paid dividends as they equalised thanks to Hevy and salvaged a point against the league leaders.

Final Score: KKZ 1 - 1 Height Rovers
Goals: Hevy

S.S vs Kamikaze (League)

18 Dec 2011
St Wilfrid @ 1pm

After a break of more than a month, the rustiness in Kamikaze was exposed as they found themselves down by 2 goals in the first half. But this is a team that never knows when it is beaten, and Kamikaze fought valiantly to comeback to salvage yet another draw. 2-2 was how it ended thanks to goals from Pratheep and Safar. Safar's goal was a nominee for goal of the season, as he left 4 defenders for dead inside the box before finishing exquisitely.

Final Score: S.S 2 - 2 KKZ
Goals: Pratheep, Safar

Uni Raiders vs Kamikaze (FA Cup)

8 Jan 2012
First Toa Payoh Sec @ 5pm

Their league troubles continued to haunt them in the first round of the FA Cup as Kamikaze found themselves facing a resilient Universal Raiders team. Midway through the second half Kamikaze were staring at an embarassing defeat as they were down 3-1, but the famed Kamikaze spirit showed its venomous head once again, as Universal Raiders found themselves bitten when they least expected it. Late goals from Seshan, Yasin sandwiched a Safar brace as Kamikaze bounced back to win 4-3. The winless streak was finally snapped as the warriors started the year on a winning note.

Final Score: Uni Raiders 3 - 4 KKZ
Goals: Safar (2), Seshan, Yasin

Kamikaze vs Raffles Rangers (FA Cup)

15 Jan 2012

Bishan Park Secondary @ 3pm

Kamikaze headed into this game with the knowledge that a win in this game will ensure their progress to the next round. That knowledge spurred them to play exciting and enterprising football which reaped excellent results as they ran out deserved 3-0 winners. Despite not having a first-choice keeper, stand in keeper Ismail Khan was largely untested as the KKZ midfield ran rings around their counterparts. A Seshan brace and a good goal from Pratheep saw the team cruise to the next round rather comfortably.

Final Score: KKZ 3 - 0 Raffles Rangers
Goals: Seshan (2), Pratheep

Kamikaze vs That Team (League)

29 Jan 2012
East Spring Secondary @ 5pm

In what was to be a potential title-deciding clash, Kamikaze came out all guns ablazing to take a well-deserved 2-0 lead against a shell-shocked That Team. However, slack defending and disastrous goalkeeping by stand-in keeper saw the team drop into chaos and concede 4 quick goals in a devastating 15 min spell. Just when it looked like it was going to be black night for the team in black, Seshan gave them a lifeline with a well-taken goal. And Kamikaze showed once again why they are the king of comebacks with Safar scoring in the death. But in all honesty, this is a game the team must have won and they only have themselves to blame. With that result, the fate of the league is now out of their hands, and all they can do is to win every single game and hope for the best.

Final Score: KKZ 4 - 4 That Team

Goals: Seshan (2), Yasin, Safar

So sorry for the slipshod manner in which this express update was done, but the editor had gone awol for exactly 3 months now. So the digging up of previous match info was difficult if not impossible. Hence, I have updated to the best of my ability. Have a good read, and contact me if there are any discrepancies. Thank you!!

We might seem down, We might seem out. We might be thought to be gone forever. But just when you least expect it, we rise again like the Rising Sun. We are the Divine Wind.

KAMIKAZE!!!
