Kamikaze Vs Manjans

KKZ 4 Manjans 2
1st sep 2007

Goals: Naayee Gerard Ghazali Vinnie
Assists: Habib(1)

After a poor display to vedi fc at wilfrid, the question was "Can KKZ sting ever again?" Yes they did and boy did the leave a mark! The Team talk Haresh gave at the end of Vedi FC match really hit everyone deep down and not only inspired them, but also motivated them. Habib Filled in goal for the unavailable Manjo and Geevan and pretty much did not have anything to do although he playfully let in a goal to somewhat give the opponents something to look back on in this otherwise fiery clash. Kamikaze was raring to go and opened the account after "El Flambouyant" Nayee, picking up a loose ball poked it past the oncoming keeper and it was rolling into goal when a defender's futile attempt to clear it resulted in an own goal. Nevertheless he gets the Goal. Kkz attacked wave after wave and had many shots on target. Midfield Maestro Jay kept sweeping in Corners and freekicks and had 4 or 5 shots whizzing past the opponent goalbox. The midfield was totally Dominant and the Defence hardly put a wrong foot in the game. POW Francis did his job to perfection while Prem acted as a wall of steel for the goalie. The second of the game came from a very unusual scorer. Alex, took a shot and it rebounded of the post and eventually dipped into the path of KKZ's very own young and cultured talent Vinnie and he hammered it in beautifully with a half volley. After much domination the half ended only to begin the 2nd half with another wonderful goal. Ghazali had a pop at goal with a freekick that rattled the post 15yrds out and Midfield Anchor Gerrard was there as he always was to slam it home 5 yrd out. Good positioning shown and dedicated it to Nash. Gerard replaced Habib in goal and let in a misjudged cross oni to give the opponent a free header. Score 3-2. Kamikaze enjoyed domination all over the park and only fell short to the physical aspects here and there. Finally Wonderkid Ghazali wrapped up the game when Habib, showing immediate effect played a through ball in the centre of the defence thus flatfooting all the defenders at one go. The opponents watched on as Ghazali took it first time and drilled home the finish touch to this excellent match. Good possession, attitude and teamwork helped us nail this one. Gerard took the MOM as he was a prominent figure and played above par to displace the opponent attack.
Most of our guys performed well notably Haravin Faizal Alex Francis and Prem.
