Kamikaze Breaks the Floodgates

ESPZEN Sunday League Season 20 Division 6

ANZA Lions vs Kamikaze FC

3pm Kickoff
Serangoon Gardens Secondary

It was just a matter of time before the lads from Kamikaze broke open their shackles and let loose. Unfortunately for ANZA Lions, the KKZ boys had chosen this day to truly announce their arrival as league leaders. A quiet first-half that only saw KKZ up 1-0 thanks to a solitary Safar strike, belied the carnage that was to arrive in the second period as Kamikaze ran riot to finish the match 12-0 to the good.

Goals came from all over the pitch, as 6 different goalscorers got their names on the scoresheet, but Siva was the biggest winner as he single-handedly helped put all criticisms about the team's striking department by banging in 4 goals, with a bicycle kick included for good measure. Manjan opened his season's account with a brace, as did Doctor and Dinzo who scored a goal apiece. Not wanting to miss out on the fun, Yeli grabbed a brace while Safar scored another to keep pace with Yeli.

In all, it was a satisfying game for the KKZ faithful as they kept their first clean-sheet in 3 games, whilst significantly boosting the goal difference tally.

Is this the start of a title-winning run from Kamikaze??? Watch this space.
