Summary and Review of League

Fellow comrades,

The samtas soccer league had just finished with KKZ playing their final league game on 22nd November at Woodlands St 13 field, against MDIS. The game (and league) finished on a winning note after Jeyraj downed MDIS with 2 goals as the final score read KKZ 2- MDI 1. Hours after Arsenal axed Gallas from his captaincy, KKZ's very own Captain Marvellous Nesh was named M.O.M after providing another one of his solid display as the ever reliable rear guard. We also saw some promising displays from returning players, Ah fat and Howard while Sudesh capped a key performance as forward.

Chesire Utd 1 KKZ 6 (0-2)

We started the league campaign with a 6-1 whooping of Chesire Utd, arguably one of KKZ's best team performance in where every single KKZ player put in a solid contribution to the 3 points.

Although Subra had a few classic saves and Suresh, 2 assists in this game, many wouldn't argue the decision to name Vinod as M.O.M after his superb performance at right back.

Only a wrong call by the 'referee' on Prem's defensive line could allow the MBOGians to equalize in the final 10 minutes, otherwise, Prem together with his defence were impassable in the second half.

This is how it ended guys, KKZ had the third best goal difference. Thats not too bad considering the fact that all the top 3 teams had a walkover victory of 3 nil over Mercury Reds. Collecting 14 points out of a possible 30 and being the only team to inflict defeat on the champions EECC Utd (4-1) and thrash the runners up 6-1; Team Kamikaze sat frustratingly at 4th to qualify for a champions league playoff.
